This privacy policy explains how burokrat ("we", "us", or "our") — a project currently in its pre-launch phase — collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website.

3. What Data We Collect & How We Use It

At this stage the website collects no special-category data (such as health, visa or residence details), no identity documents, and no file uploads.

A. Waitlist Signups

When you sign up for our early-access waitlist, the only data we store is the email address you enter and the time of your submission. We use it solely to notify you about burokrat's launch.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (Consent). You can withdraw your signup at any time by emailing us at contact[at]burokrat.ai, and we will delete your record.

B. Email Inquiries

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever content you choose to include, and we keep that correspondence in order to reply to you. Please share only what is necessary for your inquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Legitimate interest in responding to inquiries).

C. AI Features (Not Yet Available)

burokrat is in its pre-launch phase. There is currently no interactive AI feature on this website, and no input you make here is sent to any AI system. When such a feature becomes available, we will update this policy beforehand to describe the specific processing, the providers involved, and the legal basis.

D. Automatically Collected Data

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically records technical access data under its own server logging, which may include:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Time of access
  • IP address

This data is used for security purposes and to ensure the technical operation of the website. We do not combine it with your waitlist signup or use it to profile you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Cookies & Browser Storage

Our website uses only essential cookies and a small amount of technical browser storage required for the site to function properly. We do not use tracking cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party analytics tools at this stage. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and implement a strict GDPR-compliant cookie consent banner.

5. Data Sharing & Hosting

We do not sell or trade your personal data. The website and the waitlist database are operated with the help of service providers acting as processors on our behalf, and we rely on the data protection terms those providers make available to their customers under Art. 28 GDPR. We do not make claims about specific server locations or certifications that we cannot document. If you need details about the processors involved before signing up, contact us and we will tell you what we use.

6. Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are currently the only personal records we store, and they are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry, or as required by law. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
